Without it you cannot activate the SEWA electricity and water connection, and the contract will not stand up if a dispute reaches the Sharjah Rent Dispute Committee. The attestation fee is set by Sharjah Municipality at four percent of the annual rent, and it is renewed each year with the contract.

Timing and late penalties
Attest the contract within the window Sharjah Municipality sets after signing. Late attestation can add a municipality penalty on top of the standard fee, so the cheapest path is to submit early. We flag the deadline when we review your file.
