Ras Al Khaimah Rent Increase Rules
Ras Al Khaimah does not publish a fixed percentage rent cap like Dubai or a rental index. A rent increase at renewal is set by the tenancy contract and by agreement between the landlord and tenant, in line with the local market, and either side should give reasonable written notice before the contract expires. If the parties cannot agree, the matter goes to the RAK rental dispute channel at the municipality.

How increases work in RAK
Without a statutory percentage cap, the contract you signed is the first reference. Many RAK contracts state whether and how the rent can change at renewal, so read that clause first. Where the contract is silent, an increase is a matter of agreement against comparable market rents, not an automatic right for either side.
Notice and renewal
Give the other party written notice of any change to the rent or terms before the contract expires, so there is time to agree or to look elsewhere. A renewal on the same terms continues if neither side raises a change in time.
